Very nice room, and quite comfortable. The breakfast is great and the woman that worked at the breakfast was so kind and helpful. Very friendly. The pool and hot tub were freezing. We were only there for 1 night so I'm not sure if that was a fluke. The front desk clerk in the evening of check in was kind of rude, mumbled seemed bothered, the one at check out was friendly and courteous. There were no sheets for the pull out bed and when I went to front desk that night to see about getting some the guy had stepped away. To be fair I didn't wait long and left. I just covered the mattress with one of our blankets and used another blanket to cover up.
The ceiling in my bathroom had falling pieces all over the floor. There was mouse poop on the carpet! I told the front desk and though they said "sorry," they didn't even seem surprised.
We have stayed here before and we're very satisfied. This trip the floors were dirty and no cook showed up for Sunday morning so no breakfast. The beds were very comfortable though.
I'm not sure what's my biggest complaint. Wallpaper taped onto the wall, broken closet doors leaned up against the wall, the welcome book page (an easily printed piece of paper) stained and ripped but sitting in the book, or overly damaged furniture, multiple pieces. The hotel is aged, no question, but the broken ice machines and sour smell throughout the 2nd and 1st floor is overkill.
What's worse, someone 4 weeks ago did a review in the room I was in today with the broken door, still broken folks!
Was passing through headed to DFW airport. Stayed overnight. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly.
Rooms where nice. Breakfast ok if you like caeton style eggs, not fresh ones. Service desk and breakfast ladies where great.
